Tinlark Tables

Coming soon to Firefox and Chrome

A browser extension that copies a table or list from the page you are viewing into Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, or saves it as a CSV file. Free, with no account and no row limit.

The Tinlark Tables popup on a Wikipedia page. It lists the tables found on the page; the second, Breakdown by country, is selected and previewed as 12 rows by 3 columns (Rank, Country, Companies), above cleaning options and the Copy for Excel and Download CSV buttons.
The popup on Wikipedia's list of the largest companies by revenue. Real screenshot, not a mock-up.

Free features

These stay free. Nothing has moved, or will move, behind Pro.

  • Finds tables without site-specific code: HTML tables, ARIA tables and grids, CSS grid and flex "div tables", and repeated card lists.
  • Pick a table by clicking it on the page. Arrow keys widen or narrow the selection, Tab cycles through the tables found, Esc cancels.
  • Cleans while exporting: merged cells, multi-row headers joined with " / ", hidden rows and columns skipped, whitespace trimmed, empty columns dropped, an optional column of link URLs, a row range.
  • Number and date preview: currency, percent, thousands separators, European decimals (1.234,56) and local dates, with before and after shown for each column. Text such as 00123 is never turned into a number, and cells that would run as spreadsheet formulas get a leading apostrophe.
  • Copy for Excel (tab-separated, pastes into Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers) and Download CSV (UTF-8, comma, semicolon or tab).
  • Keyboard accessible, light and dark theme.

Pro, optional

From November 2026: $19 per year or $4 per month, with a 7-day trial. Pro adds:

  • Excel .xlsx with typed number, currency, percent and date columns, a frozen, filterable header row and column widths.
  • Several tables in one workbook, one sheet each.
  • JSON, Markdown, HTML and SQL INSERT exports.
  • Column picker: hide, rename and reorder columns.
  • Saved recipes per site: the table, cleaning options and column choices, stored on your device.
  • Capture more rows: scroll a list to load all its rows, or press the page's own Next button for up to 500 pages.

Privacy

  • Tables never leave your browser. All processing happens in the page and in the popup. No accounts, no analytics.
  • Settings, recipes and the licence record are stored in the browser on your device.
  • The only network request the extension can make is the Pro licence check to Polar (api.polar.sh), and only after a Pro key has been entered. It sends the key, the activation id, a browser label such as Chrome-1a2b3c4d and Tinlark's public organisation id. It never sends table contents or the pages you visit.
  • Without a Pro key the extension makes no network request at all.

Permissions, and why

PermissionWhy
activeTabRead the page only when you open the popup on it.
scriptingRun the table finder in that tab on demand. There is no always-on script.
storageKeep your settings on this device.
api.polar.shThe Pro licence check, and nothing else.

Limits

  • It reads the top frame of the page only, not tables inside iframes.
  • In the free version, lists that load rows as you scroll export the rows currently loaded. The popup says when the page reports more rows than are loaded.
  • PDFs, images of tables and grids drawn on a canvas are not tables in the page and are not detected.
